Description

Solido’s 1:18 scale recreation of the 1984 BMW 635 CSi (E24) is finished in Henna Red and carries the reference S1810301. The model is constructed in die-cast metal with plastic detail parts, and features opening doors, workable steering on the front wheels, and a fully fitted interior. It is supplied with a display plinth, which is can be optionally mounted on.

The 635 CSi was the flagship of BMW’s E24 6 Series coupé range. The 1982 facelift introduced the 3,430 cc M30B34 SOHC straight-six, which produced 218 PS (215 bhp) at 5,200 rpm and 310 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, driving the rear wheels through a five-speed Getrag manual or a four-speed ZF 4HP22 automatic gearbox. Top speed was quoted at around 140 mph, with 0–60 mph achieved in roughly 7.4 seconds. The facelift also brought revised suspension and electronics shared with the E28 5 Series, and the distinctive single-piece black rear spoiler that reduced high-speed lift by almost 15 percent. Production of the 635 CSi ran from 1978 until the end of E24 manufacture in 1989.
