About Otto Mobile
Otto Mobile was founded in France in 2009 by collectors Frédérick Guillier-Sahuqué and Nicolas Urien, who felt the major manufacturers were not producing the cars they really wanted; their first model was a Renault Clio Williams. Today Otto Mobile is run alongside sister brands GT Spirit and Solido. The result is a range built around enthusiasts' cars: fast Fords, Volkswagen Golf GTIs, Renault Sport and Peugeot hot hatches, Japanese performance icons and modern specials such as the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N. Many of these cars are rarely modelled elsewhere in 1:18.
Limited, Numbered Editions
Every Otto Mobile model is produced in a limited run and carries its own serial number. Production quantities are small, so popular models often sell out at the pre-order stage or shortly after arrival. If a model you want is listed as a pre-order, reserving it early is the surest way to secure one.
Sealed Resin Construction
Otto Mobile models are made entirely from resin, with no opening doors, bonnet or boot. Without opening parts, the bodywork keeps its accurate shape and tight panel gaps, which makes these models excellent display pieces. The interior is fully detailed and visible through the windows.
Popular Otto Mobile Themes
- Hot hatches – Ford Fiesta ST and Focus ST/RS, Mini John Cooper Works, Volkswagen Golf GTI and R, Renault Clio and Mégane RS, and the Peugeot 205 GTI.
- Rally cars – Group A and Group B legends, from the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 to the Subaru Legacy RS driven by Colin McRae. See our full range of rally models.
- Tuner and widebody builds – modified tuner cars and widebody conversions, including designer specials such as Khyzyl Saleem's Golf II GTI.
- JDM and modern performance – Nissan Skyline GT-R, Toyota GR Supra and recent cars such as the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N and N Vision 74.
Otto Mobile also produces occasional right-hand-drive specials, such as the Ford Focus ST Mk2 in Electric Orange.
1:18 or 1:12?
Most Otto Mobile releases are in 1:18 scale, around 22–25cm long for a typical hatchback. Selected cars are also produced in 1:12 scale, at roughly 33–38cm, for collectors who want a larger centrepiece. Our scale guide shows how the two compare.
