Description

The Volkswagen T1 Kombi is one of the most universally recognised vehicles ever produced — the split-windscreen bus that carried surfers, campers, and an entire generation of free-spirited travellers across the roads of the 1950s and 1960s, becoming in the process one of the defining objects of 20th-century popular culture. Its air-cooled flat-four engine in the rear, its upright boxy body, and the endlessly configurable interior that gave the Kombi its name have made it an object of affection that only deepens with the passing of the decades.
