The MCL40 is McLaren’s 2026 Formula 1 challenger, developed under the sport’s overhauled technical regulations that introduced new chassis dimensions, active aerodynamics and a power unit with a far greater electrical contribution alongside fully sustainable fuel. McLaren Racing produced the car at its Woking facility, building on the Constructors’ Championship-winning momentum of the previous seasons. The chassis pairs the team’s continued aerodynamic development with a fresh power unit cycle, and is campaigned by Oscar Piastri alongside Lando Norris. The car carries the long-standing Mastercard title partnership across the 2026 campaign.

At the 2026 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, the MCL40 of Oscar Piastri finished second, taking a podium on one of the most demanding circuits on the calendar. Suzuka’s figure-of-eight layout, fast esses and tightening final sector reward a balanced chassis and consistent tyre management, and the result added important points to McLaren’s championship campaign against Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull.

Made by Spark in 1:18 scale, this resin model measures approximately 27cm and is presented on a branded display base under an acrylic cover. Spark’s 1:18 resin format is sealed (no opening parts) and focuses on accurate body shape, sharp printed liveries and detailed wheels, mirrors, aero furniture and cockpit, making it a substantially more imposing piece than the brand’s 1:43 equivalent.
