Description

The Volkswagen Beetle 1303 represented the final and most refined evolution of the most successful car design in automotive history — a Super Beetle variant introduced in 1972 that brought McPherson strut front suspension and a panoramic curved windscreen to Ferdinand Porsche’s original design, giving the Beetle more interior space and a more modern driving feel whilst retaining the air-cooled flat-four in the rear and the rounded, unmistakable silhouette that had made it beloved worldwide. By 1974 the 1303 had matured into a polished, characterful small car whose appeal transcended its modest performance in a way that no rational explanation fully accounts for.

The Jeans Yellow is one of the most evocative colours associated with the special edition Beetles that Volkswagen produced during this era — a bright, cheerful shade that captures the optimistic spirit of the 1970s and suits the Beetle’s rounded, friendly proportions with complete naturalness.
