Description

Rauh-Welt Begriff — RWB — is the creation of Akira Nakai, a Japanese builder whose approach to the Porsche 911 has produced some of the most visually striking and culturally significant modified cars of the modern era. Working from his base in Chiba, Japan, and travelling the world to build cars for clients on-site, Nakai hand-fabricates dramatically widened fibreglass over-fenders, riveted directly to the 911’s bodywork in a manner that is unmistakably his own, before lowering the car and fitting a signature rear wing that completes the transformation from road car to rolling statement. Every RWB build is unique, and every one is given its own name.

Cinderella is one of Nakai’s most celebrated builds — a 993-generation 911 that carries particular significance as its base, the 993 being the last air-cooled Porsche 911 and therefore a car that occupies a special place in the minds of those who follow the marque most closely. In yellow, the Cinderella build achieves an intensity that the wide body and riveted over-fenders amplify to maximum effect — a colour that makes no compromise and demands no apology. Solido’s 1:18 diecast model captures the build at approximately 25cm in length with openable doors and working wheels, presented on a display base. Officially licensed.
