Description
The 1967 Shelby GT500 represented the fullest, most powerful expression of Carroll Shelby’s Mustang programme — the year in which the wider, more muscular second-generation Mustang body arrived and Shelby fitted it with the 428ci Police Interceptor V8 to create a car that was genuinely, startlingly fast in a straight line. Shelby’s modifications went beyond the engine: uprated suspension, specific braking components, fibreglass bonnet, and the distinctive Shelby front fascia and rear treatment that set it clearly apart from the standard Ford product, despite the shared origins.
In the classic Blue with twin White centre stripes — a colour combination that drew consciously from Shelby’s Cobra racing heritage and the GT350’s original competition livery — the 1967 GT500 is one of the most visually authoritative American muscle cars of the era. KK Scale’s substantial 1:12 diecast model captures the car at 39cm in length with an openable bonnet, openable doors, working wheels, and working suspension.

The scale of a model is its size as a proportion to the real-life item. For instance, a 1:18 scale model means that every 1 unit of measurement on the model equals 18 units on the real item.
