BTCC Model Cars
Spark produces BTCC models in 1:43 resin, covering the 2025 season race by race. Spark's models include the NAPA Racing Ford Focus ST cars of Ashley Sutton, Dan Cammish, Daniel Rowbottom and Sam Osborne and the West Surrey Racing BMW 330i M Sport cars of Daryl DeLeon, Charles Rainford and Aidan Moffat. Sutton won the first two races of 2025 at Donington Park, a double marked by a single Spark model, and finished the year as runner-up to Tom Ingram.
For earlier eras, the Solido 1:18 BMW M3 (E30) carries Will Hoy's No.11 from 1991, the year he won the first title of the Super Touring era in a Vic Lee Motorsport M3. The Otto Mobile 1:18 Volvo 850 is Rickard Rydell's 1995 car, the saloon that replaced Volvo's estate, in which he took his first BTCC win and finished third in the championship. Minichamps adds Tim Harvey's 1987 Rover Vitesse.
Otto Mobile has built one of the strongest 1:18 ranges of Super Touring era BTCC cars, all sealed resin and numbered limited editions. Alongside Rydell's 850 saloon, the range has included the Volvo 850 Estate Jan Lammers raced in 1994, Robb Gravett's Peugeot 405 Mi16 from 1992 and Jason Plato's Renault Laguna from Oulton Park in 1998, and new BTCC releases from Otto are added here as they arrive.
DTM and Other Touring Series
Werk83 focuses on the classic era of DTM in 1:18 diecast. Highlights include Roberto Ravaglia's 1989 title-winning BMW M3 (E30), Frank Biela's Audi V8 quattro from 1991, when Audi became the first manufacturer to defend a DTM title, and Klaus Ludwig's 1992 championship Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evo II, which made him the first driver to win the DTM twice. The Zakspeed 190E Evo II raced by a young Michael Schumacher in 1991 and Volker Strycek's Opel Omega Evo 500 have also been modelled. Beyond the DTM, Werk83 covers the Ford Capri RS 3100 of Rolf Stommelen and Jochen Mass at Zandvoort in the 1974 ETCC and the JPS BMW M3 that won its class at the Bathurst 1000, while Spark adds René Rast's 2020 DTM championship Audi RS 5, the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo cars of Dorr Motorsport from DTM 2024 and the Eggenberger Ford Sierra RS500 that won the 1989 Spa 24 Hours.
Scales and Materials
A BMW M3 (E30) is 4,345mm long, which works out at about 24cm in 1:18 and 10cm in 1:43. Spark's 1:43 BTCC and DTM models are resin limited editions, Otto Mobile models are sealed resin, numbered limited editions, and Werk83, Solido and Minichamps work in diecast. Our scale guide compares the sizes in more detail.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a touring car model?
A touring car model is a scale replica of a racing car based on a production saloon or hatchback, such as the Ford Focus, BMW 3 Series or Mercedes-Benz 190E, finished in the livery it raced in. Series include the BTCC, DTM and the European Touring Car Championship.
Do you stock BTCC diecast models?
Yes. Solido and Minichamps make 1:18 diecast BTCC cars from the late 1980s and early 1990s, and Otto Mobile makes 1:18 sealed resin BTCC cars from the Super Touring era. Current-season BTCC models come from Spark in 1:43 resin, usually as limited editions marking a race win.
How big is a 1:43 touring car model?
Around 10cm long for most touring cars, which makes 1:43 the practical scale for collecting a full grid or a whole season.
Are these slot cars or radio-controlled cars?
No. Everything on this page is a static display model built for collectors, not a slot car or RC car.
