Le Mans, Daytona and the Great 24-Hour Races

Endurance racing means races measured in hours rather than laps, where several drivers share one car. More than half of our in-stock endurance models raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, from front-engined Jaguars of the 1950s to the current Hypercar class. Prototype fans can narrow the range to LMP2 model cars, while pre-1990 entries are gathered in our historic race car models. Spark's 1:43 Le Mans winners series runs from the 1966 Ford Mk II to the 2020 Toyota TS050 Hybrid.

Scales and Sizes

The range splits almost evenly between 1:18 and 1:43, with a smaller 1:12 group. A Porsche 963 is 5,100mm long, so it measures about 28cm in 1:18, 12cm in 1:43 and 42.5cm in 1:12. Werk83's Mazda 787B and Ixo's Porsche 911 RSR are among the 1:12 endurance cars in stock. Our scale guide explains each size in more detail.

Brands and Materials

Spark makes most of the models on this page in resin. Looksmart has the Ferrari 499P that won Le Mans in 2025 in both 1:43 and 1:18 resin. For diecast, Werk83 focuses on classic Porsche, Mazda, Ferrari and BMW racers, Ixo on recent Porsche 963, 911 RSR and Ford Mustang GT3 entries, and CMR on Jaguar winners. As an authorised BBR retailer, we also stock limited resin Ferraris supplied with a display showcase.

Notable Models in Stock

  • Mazda 787B No.55, Le Mans 1991: the first win for a Japanese manufacturer and still the only win for a rotary-engined car, available from Werk83 in 1:18 and 1:12 and from Spark in 1:43.
  • Werk83 1:18 Porsche 917K No.23: Hans Herrmann and Richard Attwood gave Porsche its first overall Le Mans victory in 1970.
  • CMR 1:18 Jaguar XJR-12 No.3: the 1990 Le Mans winner of John Nielsen, Price Cobb and Martin Brundle.
  • Spark 1:43 Ford GT40 winners: Ford won Le Mans four years running from 1966 to 1969, and the 1968 and 1969 wins came with the same chassis, GT40P/1075.
  • Ferrari 499P No.83: Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye and Phil Hanson won Le Mans in 2025, Ferrari's third consecutive victory.
  • BMW M4 GT3 EVO No.98: ROWE Racing's 2025 Nürburgring 24 Hours winner, in 1:18 from Spark and Minichamps.

By make, Porsche is the largest name in stock, followed by Ferrari, BMW, Oreca, Mercedes and Ford.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your endurance race cars diecast or resin?

Both. Spark, Looksmart, Top Speed and BBR models are resin and usually sealed. Werk83, Ixo, CMR, Bburago and Minichamps models are diecast. Each product title states the material.

Do you have Le Mans car models?

Yes. Le Mans is the biggest event in this category, with overall winners and class entries from the 1950s to 2025 in 1:43, 1:18 and 1:12.

Which scale is best for endurance racing models?

1:43 suits collectors who want a full grid or a run of winners, as Spark releases most cars from each race. 1:18 shows more detail on a single car.

Are these race car models suitable for children?

No. They are detailed collectors' models made for display. Resin models in particular have fine parts such as mirrors and antennas that are best kept in a display case.
