What Is LMP2

LMP2, short for Le Mans Prototype 2, is the closed-cockpit prototype class that races alongside the Hypercar and LMGT3 categories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the European and Asian Le Mans Series. Under the rules introduced in 2017, teams choose a chassis from four approved constructors, ORECA, Ligier, Dallara and a Riley and Multimatic partnership, and every car uses the same Gibson GK428, a 4.2-litre naturally aspirated V8. The next generation of LMP2 has been moved to 2028, with chassis to come from ORECA or Ligier and Gibson remaining the sole engine supplier.

The ORECA 07 in 1:43 Scale

The ORECA 07 is 4,745mm long, so a 1:43 replica measures about 11cm. Spark produces its LMP2 models in resin, with the team liveries, sponsor graphics and driver names of each car reproduced for the specific race. You can find more cars from the French constructor on our ORECA page, and our scale guide compares 1:43 with larger sizes.
