About Corgi
Corgi Toys was launched in 1956 in Swansea, Wales, and became famous for diecast cars with features no one else offered at the time, such as clear plastic windows, along with film and TV favourites like the James Bond Aston Martin DB5. Today Corgi makes detailed collector models of aircraft, vehicles and buses.
Aviation Archive Aircraft
Corgi's Aviation Archive range recreates individual aircraft with their exact squadron markings, serial numbers and nose art. Highlights include:
- Cold War and modern RAF jets – the English Electric Lightning F6 from RAF Binbrook, the Panavia Tornado GR1A and the Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4.
- Second World War aircraft – the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc and the Martin B-26 Marauder "Miss Arkansas".
- Post-war and US aircraft – the Bristol Beaufighter TF10 from Operation Firedog and the AV-8B Harrier II Plus of the US Marine Corps "Black Sheep" squadron.
Most Aviation Archive models are limited editions. See all military aircraft, diecast military aircraft and Second World War models.
Classic Vehicles, Film and TV
Corgi's 1:48 Ecurie Ecosse Racing Car Transporter recreates one of the most famous Corgi models of all, the No. 1126 from the early 1960s, in the dark blue livery of the Scottish racing team. Corgi is also known for its film and TV models, including James Bond cars, Del Boy's Reliant Regal from Only Fools and Horses and Mr Bean's Mini, and for buses such as the London Routemaster.
