Description
Michael Schumacher’s victory at Monza in 1996 was one of the defining moments of his first season with Ferrari — a win at the team’s home circuit that silenced doubters and signalled clearly that the partnership between the sport’s most driven champion and its most iconic team was beginning to find its footing. The Ferrari F310, designed by John Barnard, was not always the most reliable or consistent car that year, but at Monza Schumacher drove it to perfection, delivering Ferrari a home victory that the tifosi had craved.
