The Datsun Fairlady Z — sold internationally as the 240Z — is one of the most significant Japanese cars ever built, a long-bonnet sports car with a 2.4-litre inline-six that arrived in 1969 and immediately redefined what was possible from a Japanese sports car at an accessible price. In Japan, the Fairlady Z became the foundation of an enthusiast culture that thrived on personalisation, modification, and the pursuit of performance — and the combination of orange bodywork with a carbon fibre bonnet seen on this model reflects exactly that tradition.

The carbon hood modification was a popular period and post-period upgrade that reduced weight over the front axle and gave the Z an immediately purposeful, track-ready appearance — a visual shorthand for the tuning culture that surrounded the S30 throughout its life and beyond. This Right Hand Drive edition captures the car in Japanese domestic specification.
