The VF-26 is Haas’s 2026 challenger, developed to the heavily revised technical regulations that introduced 50/50 internal combustion and electric power split, active aerodynamics and a smaller, lighter chassis package. Built at the team’s Banbury and Maranello facilities, the car continues Haas’s long-standing technical partnership with Ferrari for power unit and gearbox supply. The 2026 reset gave smaller teams a renewed opportunity to close the gap to the established frontrunners, and Haas entered the season targeting consistent points finishes after several seasons in the midfield. The VF-26 was developed under the team’s new technical leadership and reflects a clear shift in aerodynamic philosophy compared with its predecessor.

At the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix, held at the Shanghai International Circuit, Bearman brought the No.87 VF-26 home in fifth place, delivering one of the strongest results of Haas’s season to date. The race was contested against the full 2026 grid including Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull Racing, Aston Martin and the newly restructured Audi and Cadillac operations.
