Oliver Bearman's Route to Formula 1
Born in May 2005, Oliver Bearman won both the Italian and ADAC Formula 4 championships in 2021 and joined the Ferrari Driver Academy. With Prema he finished third in FIA Formula 3 in 2022, then moved up to Formula 2, winning four races in his 2023 rookie season, including both races in Baku. In March 2024 he was called up by Ferrari to replace Carlos Sainz at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, finishing seventh to become the youngest driver ever to race for the team. Two further stand-in drives for Haas that year, including tenth in Azerbaijan, made him the first driver to score points for two different teams in his first two races.
