Vehicle Background

The Peugeot 9X8 is a revolutionary hypercar that features an innovative no rear wing design. The car was unveiled in July 2021 by the French automaker Peugeot, and it was designed to compete in the Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) class. The absence of a rear wing on the Peugeot 9X8 is made possible by the car’s unique aerodynamic design, which includes a large diffuser at the rear of the car. The diffuser generates downforce by channeling air under the car, creating a vacuum that pulls the car down to the ground. This design eliminates the need for a traditional rear wing, which can create drag and reduce the car’s top speed. The Peugeot 9X8’s no rear wing design is a major departure from traditional race car designs.
