Description

Rauh-Welt Begriff — RWB — is the creation of Akira Nakai, a Japanese builder whose hand-fabricated wide-body modifications have elevated the Porsche 911 into one of the defining objects of the global custom car scene. Each build is constructed personally by Nakai, often travelling to the client’s location to complete the work on-site, and each car receives its own name — a mark of individuality that distinguishes RWB builds from the world of mass-produced tuning kits and positions every car as a unique, unrepeatable collaboration between builder and owner.

“Maty’s Idlers” carries its name as a tribute to a specific community of enthusiasts — a build whose identity is bound up in the people and culture that surround it as much as in the metalwork and fibreglass that Nakai applied. In red, the Maty’s Idlers car presents the RWB formula at its most direct: the dramatically widened arches, riveted bodywork, lowered stance, and signature wing in a colour that requires no further explanation and makes no concessions to restraint. Solido’s 1:18 diecast model captures the build at approximately 25cm in length with openable doors and working wheels, presented on a display plinth. Officially licensed.
