This 1:18 scale diecast model of the 1968 Renault 8 Major in red is made by Solido. It measures approximately 22.2 cm in length and features:
The Major was the first ‘evolution’ of the R8 offered by Renault. It offered more comfort features, separate front seats, and a more powerful engine. The dashboard also differed from the other Renault 8s, and the ‘Major’ lettering emphasised the ‘special’ nature of this R8.
