Description

RTR — Ready to Rock — is the performance and lifestyle brand founded by Formula Drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. in partnership with Ford, and the Mustang Spec-3 represents one of its most visually and dynamically complete expressions. Built on the latest S650-generation Mustang, the RTR Spec-3 takes Ford’s already capable platform and subjects it to a comprehensive programme of aerodynamic, suspension, and styling development — the distinctive RTR bodykit with front splitter, side skirts, and rear spoiler giving the car a presence and aggression that goes well beyond the standard Mustang’s already purposeful appearance.

Gittin Jr.’s background as a professional drifter informs every aspect of the RTR setup — the suspension tuning, the steering feel, and the way the car responds to driver inputs all reflect years of experience at the limit of adhesion on competition circuits. The Spec-3 is the Mustang as RTR intends it to be experienced: louder, lower, wider, and considerably more dramatic than it left the Ford factory.

In Yellow, the RTR Spec-3’s muscular bodywork makes an unambiguous statement — a classic American muscle car colour on a car that very much lives up to the tradition. GT Spirit’s 1:18 resin model is individually numbered from a limited edition of 999, officially licensed and capturing the Spec-3’s aggressive detailing at approximately 26cm in length, presented with a display base.
