Background information:

The Boeing B-17, also known as the “Flying Fortress”, became the symbol of heavily armed strategic bombers during World War II. The Memphis Belle version of this aircraft gained particular fame when it became the first US Army Air Force bomber to survive 25 missions in Europe, before becoming the star of a Hollywood film. After its mission, the Memphis Belle was erected as a monument in the city of Memphis and, after a restoration in 2004, it is now accessible to the public again. With this model kit you can recreate part of this impressive history in your own home!
