What Is 1:8 Scale?
A 1:8 scale model is eight times smaller than the real vehicle, so a 4.6 metre sports car becomes a model of around 57cm, more than twice the length of the same car at 1:18. At this size every panel line, badge and interior detail is easy to see, but a 1:8 model also needs a deep shelf or a dedicated display case. See how the scales compare in our scale guide.

Pocher is the long-established Italian name in large-scale car kits, having launched its first 1:8 kits in 1966. Its recent models are pre-painted diecast kits that you assemble yourself, such as the Pagani Utopia Coupe, the Porsche 917KH Martini, the Ferrari F50 and the Ferrari 12Cilindri.
