About Tecnomodel
Tecnomodel is an Italian maker of hand-built resin models for serious collectors. Production runs are very small, usually around 100 pieces and sometimes as few as 20, so each model is individually numbered and many sell out before release. The focus is on cars other brands rarely make: specific race entries, period press cars and coachbuilt one-offs.
Ferrari
Ferrari accounts for almost half of the Tecnomodel range. Highlights include the 250 Testa Rossa in many race-by-race versions, among them the 250 TR59/60 that won Le Mans in 1960, the 512S Long Tail from Le Mans 1970 in 1:12, Alain Prost's 1991 Ferrari 642, and road cars such as the 330 GTC Michelotti.
Historic Formula 1
Tecnomodel's F1 models cover the 1950s to the 1990s, often with a driver figure in the cockpit. Examples include Michael Schumacher's Benetton B192 that won the 1992 Belgian Grand Prix, the BRM P160E driven by Niki Lauda and Clay Regazzoni in 1973, Lauda's McLaren MP4/1B from 1982, and Nigel Mansell's Lotus 94T. Le Mans and Sports Car Racing
Endurance racing is another strength, from the Jaguar C-Type that won Le Mans in 1953 to the Ferrari sports prototypes of the late 1950s and 1960s, plus Lola, Alfa Romeo and Aston Martin racers. Browse our Le Mans models and endurance race cars.
