The Valhalla marks monumental “firsts” for Aston Martin: their first mid-engined series production car, first plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and first production vehicle with dedicated EV-only mode. The project benefits from intense collaboration with Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT), infusing F1 technologies directly into its core.

Initially announced in 2019, the final specification has evolved significantly, particularly in dynamic capability and power output. The goal was to create a car with “unprecedented dynamic bandwidth” delivering exceptional supercar experience on both road and track.

Powered by a bespoke 4.0-litre twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 producing 817bhp—the highest performing V8 ever in an Aston Martin. Three electric motors (two front axle, one in gearbox) contribute 247bhp more.

Combined output: 1,064 bhp and 1100Nm torque. Performance: 0-62mph in 2.5 seconds, 217mph top speed. Dry weight kept to 1655kg. Pure EV mode drives front axle only with 8.7-mile range, 80mph limit.

Built around bespoke carbon fibre monocoque chassis designed with AMPT. Front clamshell simplified to just two carbon pieces, saving 7kg. Active aerodynamics include concealed front wing and hydraulically activated rear wing extending 255mm in Race mode.

Generates over 600kg downforce at 149mph. Rear wing deploys as air brake in under 0.5 seconds. Forward-hinged dihedral doors with roof cut-outs for easier access. Distinctive quad exhaust with two top-exit tailpipes for visual and aural flair.

Aston’s first 4WD sports car via electric AWD without physical axle connection. New 8-speed DCT with integrated E-motor provides E-reverse (no traditional reverse gear). Torque Fill eliminates turbo lag; E-Boost extends power beyond V8 capability.

F1-style pushrod front suspension visible through bodywork. Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers calibrated on UK roads. Integrated Vehicle Dynamics Control manages torque vectoring via twin front E-motors. Carbon ceramic brakes with brake-by-wire technology and regenerative braking.

10.25″ centre touchscreen with next-gen HMI. Full Digital Display Mirror replaces traditional rear-view. 80-90% of cars expected through Q by Aston Martin personalisation service. Options include tinted carbon panels and even tweed interior finish. Note: no luggage space (no frunk or boot).

Designed to compete with Ferrari SF90 and Lamborghini Revuelto. Unlike the savage SF90 or anarchic Revuelto, Valhalla is lauded for being better balanced, smoother to drive, with friendly, playful nature rather than locked-down track focus.
