We are thrilled to share the latest news from Tecnomodel, who have just unveiled their new 1:18 scale replicas of the iconic Ferrari 246. These models celebrate legendary drivers Tony Brooks, Phil Hill, and Dan Gurney, capturing the essence of classic motorsport.

Model Details & Information

Each resin model is an individually numbered, limited edition. A high quality resin driver figure is included. The usual high quality parts, real-rubber tyres, decals and paint finish can be expected. It’s likely that the models will be mounted on a luxury leather display base with metal detail plaque and presented in the premium Tecnomodel packaging we have come to know over recent years.

Which Versions are Available?

There are four race and driver specific versions available, two from 1959 and two from 1960. These are listed below with some details about the race.

1959 French Grand Prix – Tony Brooks

The #24 Ferrari 246, driven by the late Tony Brooks, achieved victory at the 1959 French Grand Prix in Reims. This win was the fifth of Brooks’ six career world championship grand prix victories. He crossed the finish line nearly half a minute ahead of his teammate Phil Hill.

1959 German Grand Prix – Dan Gurney

Dan Gurney’s #6 Ferrari 246 made a stunning impact at the daunting Avus circuit during the German Grand Prix. Gurney, in just his second world championship start, secured an impressive runner-up position, showcasing his versatility and skill.

1960 Monaco Grand Prix – Phil Hill

Phil Hill drove the #36 Ferrari 246 to a third-place finish in the early stages of the 1960 season at the Monaco Grand Prix. Hill’s performance was a sign of the success that awaited him in the following years.

1960 Italian Grand Prix – Phil Hill

Later in 1960, Phil Hill piloted the #20 Ferrari 246 to victory on home soil at the Italian Grand Prix. This win was a precursor to his world championship triumph the following season in the famous ‘Sharknose’ Ferrari.
