Description

Elvis Presley’s relationship with Cadillac was one of the defining partnerships of American popular culture. From his first pink Fleetwood in 1955 — bought for his mother — to the dozens of DeVilles, Eldorados, and custom Cadillacs he acquired and gave away throughout his career, the King and the marque were inseparable. Elvis was reportedly so fond of Cadillacs that he would buy them on impulse for friends, strangers, and anyone who happened to admire one in his presence — a generosity as legendary as his music.

The 1972 Cadillac DeVille ASC Wagon, with its custom American Sunroof Corporation wagon body conversion, represents the pinnacle of American luxury in the early 1970s — vast, immaculately finished, and dripping with the kind of chrome-laden extravagance that only Detroit at its most confident could produce. In Cream with Black trim, it is presented in colours entirely befitting its famous association. Matrix’s 1:43 resin model is limited to just 100 pieces, presented with a display base and case.
