The GR Yaris Rally1 is Toyota Gazoo Racing’s top-tier rally car, developed to the FIA’s Rally1 hybrid regulations introduced in 2022. It pairs a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with a plug-in hybrid system delivering an additional burst of electric power, mounted in a tubular spaceframe chassis clothed in GR Yaris bodywork. The car is engineered for the extremes of WRC competition, covering loose gravel, snow, ice and sealed-surface tarmac across a season that spans Europe, the Americas and Africa. Toyota Gazoo Racing has used the platform to build one of the most successful eras in the team’s WRC history.

Across the 2025 WRC season the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 contested rounds against the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 and Ford Puma Rally1, on stages ranging from the snow of Monte Carlo to the gravel of Safari Rally Kenya and the tarmac of Catalunya. Ogier, partnered by Landais, took the drivers’ title in this car-and-crew combination, adding another World Rally Championship to one of the most decorated careers in the sport’s history.
