Description

The No. 59 McLaren F1 GTR is the most celebrated of all the 1995 Le Mans entries — the car that won the race outright, driven by JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas, and Masanori Sekiya, and in doing so delivered one of the greatest upsets in endurance racing history. This model, however, captures something particularly special: the car as it appeared during prequalifying, before the race weekend had fully unfolded and before anyone could have fully anticipated what was about to happen.

For collectors, the prequalifying specification offers a distinct and historically significant variant — the car in its raw race-ready state at La Sarthe, the BMW S70/2 V12 yet to cover the full 24-hour distance that would make it immortal.
