Lando Norris delivered one of the standout drives of his career at the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix, converting pole position into a famous victory for McLaren around the streets of Monte Carlo. Starting from the front, Norris held his nerve despite early pressure from Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and went on to control a tense, strategic race. He crossed the line ahead of Leclerc and McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri, giving McLaren its first Monaco Grand Prix win since 2008.

The win was especially significant because Monaco rewards precision and composure more than outright speed. Norris had to manage the race from the front, absorb pressure, and avoid the slightest mistake on a circuit where overtaking is notoriously difficult and the barriers are never far away. It was his first Monaco Grand Prix victory and his second win of the 2025 season, strengthening both his championship challenge and McLaren’s position as one of the leading teams of the year.
