Description

Spark 1:43 scale resin model of the Williams FW15C in which Alain Prost finished second at the 1993 Portuguese Grand Prix at Estoril, the result that clinched his fourth and final Formula One Drivers’ Championship. Reference S7477, finished in the Williams-Renault blue, white and yellow Canon livery with race number 2, and supplied with a French flag accessory to commemorate the title-winning moment. With display base and case, officially licensed by Williams F1 Team.

The Williams FW15C was designed by Adrian Newey and Patrick Head for the 1993 Formula One season, powered by the 3.5-litre naturally aspirated Renault RS5 67° V10 producing around 760 to 780 bhp at 13,800 rpm. It featured active suspension, traction control, anti-lock brakes and a semi-automatic gearbox, in the final season before such electronic driver aids were banned. The FW15C scored 10 wins and 15 consecutive pole positions across the 16-race season, taking Williams to the Constructors’ Championship. At Estoril on 26 September 1993, Michael Schumacher’s Benetton-Ford won the race from Prost, with second place enough to seal the Drivers’ Championship for the Frenchman.
