Description

The Footwork team — the rebranded Arrows operation running under the ownership of Japanese businessman Wataru Ohashi — competed through the early 1990s with a succession of cars that placed them solidly in the midfield of a fiercely contested Formula 1 field. The FA13 of 1992, powered by Mugen Honda engines, was the mount of Aguri Suzuki: a Japanese driver whose presence in Formula 1 carried enormous domestic significance, particularly at the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, where the combination of a Japanese driver, a Japanese engine partner, and a Japanese team principal gave the Footwork entry a unique national resonance that the home crowd responded to with genuine enthusiasm.

Suzuki had already made his mark at Suzuka in 1990 with a remarkable podium finish, and his continued presence in the sport through 1992 meant that each Japanese GP appearance was an occasion of particular importance. Tecnomodel’s 1:18 resin model captures the FA13 in its Suzuka specification, limited to 60 pieces, mounted on a luxury leather display base with metal plaque and presented with a display case.
