Description
The Ferrari 288 GTO Evoluzione was among the most extreme road-derived racing machines Ferrari ever built — a development of the 288 GTO road car pushed far beyond its production specification for the Group B circuit racing regulations that were ultimately never implemented. Just five Evoluzione cars were constructed, each developed individually and tested extensively, their twin-turbocharged V8 engines producing around 650bhp in some states of tune, their wider bodywork and more aggressive aerodynamics making the production 288 GTO look restrained by comparison. The Evoluzione’s programme was effectively halted by Group B’s cancellation, but its technology lived on directly in the Ferrari F40 that followed.
Fitted with O.Z. wheels in this specification, the Evoluzione presents in one of its documented test configurations. Tecnomodel’s 1:18 resin model captures every detail with photo-etch parts and hand-crafted precision, limited to 95 pieces — the most widely available variant in the Evoluzione series. Mounted on a luxury leather base and presented with a display case.
