Description

Spark 1:43 scale resin model of the Porsche 911 S entered as No.28 by Vic Elford and David Stone at the 1969 Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo. Finished in red with period-correct race liveries, door numbers and sponsor markings, and detailed throughout inside and out. Supplied on a fitted display base inside a clear display case, and officially licensed by Porsche. Approximately 10cm in length, excluding the base.

The Porsche 911 S was powered by a 2.0-litre air-cooled flat-six with Bosch mechanical fuel injection, producing 170 hp at 6,800 rpm and driving the rear wheels through a five-speed Type 901 manual gearbox. Vic Elford and David Stone had taken Porsche’s first outright Monte Carlo victory the previous year in a 911 T, car #210. Returning in January 1969 in the works 911 S, the pair retired from the event following an accident; overall victory that year went to fellow Porsche drivers Björn Waldegård and Lars Helmér.
