Description

The Porsche 718 Spyder RS sits at the very top of the 718 range — a car that takes the already focused Spyder formula and pushes it to an extreme that blurs the boundary between road car and racing machine. Its defining feature is the 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six drawn from the GT4 RS, an engine whose 500 PS output and 9,000 rpm redline produce a sound and character that no turbocharged engine can replicate. Combined with the open-top 718 body and a chassis tuned with the same philosophy that underlies the 911 GT3 RS, the result is one of the most sensory and rewarding driving experiences available from a production car.

In Speed Yellow — one of the most historically significant colours in Porsche’s palette — the Spyder RS is a striking and unambiguous object, its wide aero package and low stance communicating its intent before a wheel has turned.
