Description

The Peugeot 206 was a runaway success, one of the best-selling cars in the company's history, and the RC (known as the GTi 180 in the UK) was its hot-hatch halo model. Launched in 2003, it extracted 177bhp from a high-revving 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine — a remarkable specific output for the time — and backed it with uprated brakes, a lowered chassis and sports seats.

Compact, eager and rev-hungry, the 206 RC rekindled memories of Peugeot's great 205 GTi and gave the brand genuine credibility among keen drivers once again. Finished in the vivid Reef Blue associated with the model, Norev's 1:18 version of around 24cm captures the RC's deeper bumpers, twin exhausts and sporting stance that set it apart from the everyday 206 range.

Scale Guide

Understanding Scale

The scale of a model is its size as a proportion to the real-life item. For instance, a 1:18 scale model means that every 1 unit of measurement on the model equals 18 units on the real item. If you divide the real item's size by 18, you'd get the size of the 1:18 model. Please note that models can vary slightly in size, as not all real-life items, like cars or planes, have the same dimensions.

Model Cars:

1:12 scale: ~38 cm or 15 inches
1:18 scale: ~25 cm or 10 inches
1:24 scale: ~18 cm or 7 inches
1:43 scale: ~10 cm or 4 inches
1:64 scale: ~7 cm or 2.75 inches
1:76 scale: ~6 cm or 2.3 inches

Model Trucks:

1:12 scale: ~75 cm or 29.5 inches
1:18 scale: ~50 cm or 19.7 inches
1:24 scale: ~38 cm or 15 inches
1:43 scale: ~21 cm or 8.3 inches
1:64 scale: ~14 cm or 5.5 inches
1:76 scale: ~12 cm or 4.7 inches

Model Bikes:

1:6 scale: ~30 cm or 12 inches
1:10 scale: ~18 cm or 7 inches
1:12 scale: ~15 cm or 6 inches
