Description

Valentino Rossi racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans is a story that would have seemed impossible during his years of MotoGP dominance — the nine-time World Champion who won 115 Grand Prix races on two wheels, competing through the night on the Circuit de la Sarthe in one of the world’s most demanding four-wheeled endurance events. Yet that is precisely what Rossi, Ahmad Al-Harthy, and Kévin Van Der Linde undertook with Team WRT in the BMW M4 GT3 EVO at the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours, a race whose combination of distance, variable conditions, traffic management in mixed-class traffic, and physical and mental attrition across a full day and night tests every driver in ways that a sprint race never can.

Team WRT’s operation at Le Mans — one of the LMGT3 class entries in a race dominated at the front by Hypercar machinery — brought the same professional preparation and depth of GT3 experience that has made the Belgian team one of Europe’s most respected endurance racing organisations. For Rossi, Le Mans represents a motorsport ambition of a different order to any circuit he has visited before; for his co-drivers, sharing a car with one of sport’s most recognisable figures at the world’s most famous race adds a dimension that few racing opportunities can provide.
