Description
The black and gold John Player Special livery is one of the most iconic colour schemes in British motorsport history — the tobacco brand’s identity that Colin Chapman adopted for his Lotus Formula 1 cars in 1972 and which became synonymous with the team’s most successful period on the grand prix circuit. Chapman extended the JPS aesthetic beyond the racing paddock to Lotus road cars, and the Esprit Turbo in black and gold became one of the most immediately recognisable performance car colour schemes of the early 1980s — a road car wearing the clothes of a racing programme that had won multiple world championships.
On the Esprit Turbo’s wedge-shaped Giugiaro body, the black and gold combination is particularly effective — the gold detailing catching the eye against the black bodywork in a way that makes the car’s striking proportions even more dramatic. KK Scale’s 1:18 diecast captures the car at approximately 25cm in length with working wheels and working suspension, presented with a display base.

Understanding Scale
The scale of a model is its size as a proportion to the real-life item. For instance, a 1:18 scale model means that every 1 unit of measurement on the model equals 18 units on the real item. If you divide the real item's size by 18, you'd get the size of the 1:18 model.
