Launched for the 1984 model year, the 911 3.2 Carrera Targa marked an important step forward for the classic air-cooled 911. A new 3.2-litre flat-six developing around 231bhp brought fresh urgency, while the distinctive removable roof panel and signature brushed stainless-steel roll hoop preserved the open-air character that had defined the Targa since 1967.
