Description

The Ferrari Roma’s design philosophy was founded on restraint — a conscious decision to let proportion, line, and surface quality do the work that lesser designs achieve through visual complexity and applied detail. Unveiled in Rome in 2019, the Roma’s smooth flanks, long bonnet, and fastback roofline drew from the classical Ferrari grand touring tradition of the 1950s and 1960s, producing a car whose elegance was immediately apparent and which aged more gracefully than most contemporary designs because it never relied on effects that would date quickly.

In Grey Metallic the Roma’s design language is shown in perhaps its most complete form — a colour that rewards the eye with depth and variation in different light conditions, emphasising the precision of the panel surfaces and the accuracy of the body lines that are the result of Ferrari’s Styling Centre working at the highest level of the craft. Where red announces itself, grey allows the shape to speak, and the Roma’s shape repays that attention fully. The 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 620hp is matched to the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox that gave the Roma its class-leading response and refinement. Polistil’s 1:18 diecast model captures the car at approximately 26cm in length with openable doors, bonnet, and boot, working wheels and suspension, limited to 1500 pieces and presented with a display case. Officially licensed by Ferrari.
