Jordan Grand Prix

Irish businessman Eddie Jordan founded the team, which was based at Silverstone and entered Formula 1 in 1991, making its debut at the United States GP. The first car, the 191, was designed by Gary Anderson and used a Cosworth-built Ford HB V8. Jordan won four Grands Prix in total: Damon Hill in 1998, Heinz-Harald Frentzen twice in 1999 and Giancarlo Fisichella in 2003. Eddie Jordan sold the team to the Midland Group in early 2005. It raced as Jordan that season, became Midland F1 for 2006, Spyker in 2007 and Force India from 2008, and the Silverstone operation later raced as Racing Point before becoming Aston Martin in 2021.

The Jordan 191 and Schumacher's Debut

Michael Schumacher's first Grand Prix came at the 1991 Belgian GP, when he replaced Bertrand Gachot. He qualified seventh but retired on the first lap with a clutch failure. Werk83 recreates that car as a 1:18 diecast model, and it has proved one of the most popular Jordan models with collectors. More of his cars are listed in our Michael Schumacher models.

The Jordan Honda 198

The 1998 season brought the team's breakthrough. At a rain-affected Belgian GP, with only six finishers, Damon Hill won and Ralf Schumacher finished second for a Jordan one-two. Tecnomodel has produced the Honda-powered 198 as a limited edition resin model in 1:18, with race-specific versions for both drivers. See our Damon Hill models and Ralf Schumacher models for their other cars.

Diecast or Resin

Jordan models are most often made in 1:18 scale, so the main choice is material. Diecast models such as the Werk83 191 have the weight of a metal model, while resin models like the Tecnomodel 198 are sealed, made in limited numbers and finely detailed.
