A Two-Time World Champion

Fernando Alonso was born in Oviedo, Spain, on 29 July 1981 and made his Formula 1 debut with Minardi at the 2001 Australian Grand Prix. He won the drivers' title with Renault in 2005 and 2006, becoming the youngest champion at the time at 24, and has 32 Grand Prix wins. Every model here sits within our wider F1 models range, and our scale guide shows how each scale compares.

Minardi and Renault

Spark makes his first car, the Minardi PS01 from the 2001 Australian GP, in 1:43 resin. From the first title season, Minichamps produces the Renault R25 in 1:18 as a resin limited edition, finished as it ran at the 2005 British GP, where Alonso took pole and finished second to Juan Pablo Montoya while extending his championship lead.

Ferrari, 2010 to 2014

Alonso won on his Ferrari debut at the 2010 Bahrain GP in the F10, with Felipe Massa second, and finished runner-up to Sebastian Vettel in 2010 and 2012. In the F2012 he won in Malaysia from eighth on the grid, at Valencia and in Germany, losing the 2012 title by three points. Premium Collectibles makes the F10, F2012 and F14T as 1:24 diecast models.

Alpine and Aston Martin

Alonso returned to Formula 1 with Alpine in 2021 and took his first podium in seven years at that year's Qatar GP. Minichamps makes his BWT Alpine A522 from the 2022 Australian GP in 1:18. Since 2023 he has driven for Aston Martin. In the AMR23 he finished second behind Max Verstappen at Monaco, in Canada and at a rain-hit Dutch GP, and Spark makes all three in 1:43, the Canadian and Dutch cars with a pit board. The Monaco car is also available in 1:18 resin. Spark continues the story with the AMR24 from the 2024 Saudi Arabian GP, the AMR25 from the 2025 Japanese GP, and a 1:5 helmet from the 2025 Chinese GP.
