Unveiled at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show, the Koenigsegg Jesko inherits the mantle from the track-focused Agera RS. This all-new megacar is deeply personal to the company, named after Jesko von Koenigsegg, the father of Founder and CEO Christian von Koenigsegg, whose business acumen helped guide the company through its formative years.

The Jesko comes in two distinct road-legal variants: the Jesko Attack for ultimate track performance, and the Jesko Absolut for straight-line speed dominance, targeting the 300mph barrier. Exclusivity is guaranteed with only 125 units produced worldwide, all already spoken for.

At the core is a newly designed twin-turbocharged 5.0-litre V8 engine producing 1,280hp on standard petrol, rocketing to 1,600 horsepower on E85 biofuel. The world’s lightest V8 crankshaft at just 12.5kg enables an 8,500rpm rev limit and contributes to a staggering 1,111 bhp/tonne power-to-weight ratio.

Performance is breathtaking: 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds, 50-150mph in 5.66 seconds, and 100-200mph in just 8.18 seconds. The Absolut has already set the 0-400-0 km/h record with a time of 27.83 seconds.

Built using an all-new carbon fibre monocoque chassis with industry-best torsional rigidity of 65,000 Nm per degree. The Attack generates over 1,400kg of downforce through active aerodynamics, while the Absolut reduces this to 150kg for extreme top speed.

The dedication to craftsmanship is extreme—the paint process alone requires 600-800 hours. Koenigsegg’s Aircore carbon fibre wheels weigh less than 7kg per corner. With a curb weight of just 1,420kg, every component is optimized for performance.

The revolutionary 9-speed Light Speed Transmission (LST) is the Jesko’s party trick. Unlike DCTs, the LST can shift from any gear to any other forward gear in just 2 milliseconds. The Ultimate Power On Demand (UPOD) system instantly selects the ideal gear for maximum acceleration.

Triplex Suspension at both ends combats squat under acceleration, while active rear steering turns the rear wheels up to 3 degrees for enhanced cornering. Despite its complexity, the LST weighs only 90kg with fluids.

The cabin atmosphere is best described as a “lux Le Mans racer”. The shield-shaped key can open all four apertures simultaneously for pure theatre. Carbon fibre seats provide surprising comfort despite minimal padding.

The digital instrument cluster moves with the steering wheel while graphics remain upright. Amenities include birds-eye view parking assistance, climate control, Apple CarPlay, and 100 liters of luggage space. Optional 3D-printed titanium trim offers ultimate personalization.
