Description

The 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans was unlike any other in the race’s history — held in September rather than June due to the global pandemic, and run without spectators in an eerily silent Circuit de la Sarthe. The atmosphere may have been diminished, but the racing was not, and the No. 8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid of Sébastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima, and Brendon Hartley delivered a commanding victory that also served as a poignant farewell to one of the most technically extraordinary Le Mans cars ever built.

The TS050 Hybrid was Toyota’s most sophisticated Le Mans weapon — a twin-turbocharged petrol V6 combined with two electric motor generator units producing around 1,000hp in total, wrapped in aerodynamic bodywork of exceptional efficiency. For 2021, the Hypercar regulations would bring a new era; the 2020 victory was the TS050’s final bow. From Spark’s Le Mans Winner Collection, this 1:43 model captures the No. 8 car at approximately 11cm in length, presented with a display case and base.
